Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the United States. She is an actress as well as a singer and dancer. Her first performances on Broadway include in the productions Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. She was awarded her Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Play to play Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh has worked on projects with award-winning director, actors, and producers for most of her career. Ashford's upcoming project is an exclusive Hulu series called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show debuts on November 22 and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently working on Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust which stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film will be released as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford, who will appear alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheims Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton director Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at leading the show. Ashford's most recent part was that of Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on a nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Her two-season stint on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first major role. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Some other Broadway performances for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots.
